Midnight Clear
Midnight Clear is a collection of fourteen of the most treasured sacred Christmas songs, featuring David Chafe on piano and the voice of Andrew Dale who also offers some exquisite instrumental work on bouzouki. A very intimate setting and a collection you'll want to play every Christmas. Due for release by the end of November with official launch concerts planned for December 14th (St. John's) and December 18th (Bay Roberts).
Bright and Beautiful
"Bright and Beautiful" is a collection of twelve wonderful and timeless hymns, most of them arranged by David, and features a diverse gathering of some of Newfoundland's finest musicians. David Chafe is on piano throughout and accompanied by Patrick Boyle (trumpet), Sandy Morris (guitar), Christina Smith (violin) and singers Shelley Neville, Julia Halfyard, Andrew Dale, Mark House, Stephan Maloney, and Christopher Bowman.
Over Hill and Valley
Pianist David Chafe and baritone Christopher Bowman are pleased to announce the release of their new classical CD, "Over Hill and Valley". This beautiful recording features two stunning English song cycles: "Songs of Travel" by Ralph Vaughan Williams (based on the poetry of Robert Louis Stevenson) and "Earth and Air and Rain" by Gerald Finzi (based on the poetry of Thomas Hardy).
It Is Well
David's debut CD for solo piano entitled "It Is Well" was officially released on August 31st, 2006 and has earned David recognition as Gospel Artist of the Year 2006 by the Music Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (MusicNL). "It Is Well" is a collection of fourteen very well-known and timeless hymns arranged for solo piano.
