It Is Well

From a spiritual perspective, happiness, joy and rapture are three different states of being, but David's piano playing combines them all. His rhythmic rethinking of some of the pieces and the substitute chord changes become a metaphor for the quest, the process of discovery, that every hymn is ultimately about. I also admired the liner notes and the stained glass motif in the graphics. Bravo!

Over Hill and Valley

A great disc that provides music to fill a quiet, thoughtful moment. David and Chris work extremely well together to deliver an ambitious project. I particularly like the Vaughan Williams/Stevenson material and the way the gents support the poetry with their music.

Bright and Beautiful

It's great. The Navy Hymn (Eternal Father Strong to Save) , All Things Bright and Beautiful, and Amazing Grace are my favourite tracks. I love Amazing Grace and this version is my all time favourite...it literally brought tears to my eyes.
